There are a number of reasons why folks start playing bingo, for example for cash, for company, for experiencing that rush of adrenaline, or simply to have a great time. Just as in any other gambling game where stakes are high, this increased excitement has its own fair portion of positive and negative impact on the enthusiasts.
Bingo- The Anxiety Attractant
The anticipation involved in a round of bingo can push a player to the other side of the spectrum. Becoming too engrossed in the game, one’s excitement level might change; this could have a negative effect on those who have high blood pressure or cardiac issues. According to some studies, people who compete in bingo are prone to get easily agitated and accordingly have elevated anxiety levels. It has been observed that employment affiliated stress is far less than the anxiety created while competing in bingo. There have been several cases of individuals having been fired their jobs as a result of bingo-related anxiety affecting their performance at work.
Despite the above-mentioned risks, bingo is able to still be a great anxiety-reliever if individuals accept that it’s just a game, guard their health and constrain their behavior.
